There are certain places that don’t just feed you; they stay with you. ID-Eclair is one of those places for me. From the moment I first walked in, I knew there was something different about it. Not just the pastries, not just the presentation, but the intention behind everything. It felt thoughtful. It felt elevated. It felt like care. When I recently went back to film my full YouTube feature, that feeling didn’t change. If anything, it deepened. Because this time, I wasn’t just walking in as someone discovering something new; I was returning to something that had already left a mark on me.

An Experience, Every Time

Chef Romy has created something that goes beyond what people expect vegan food to be. This isn’t just a bakery; this is a full experience. From the savory to the sweet, everything is crafted with purpose. The soy beef sandwich was rich, flavorful, and one of those bites that makes you pause. The red cabbage soup was warm, comforting, and grounding in a way that felt like more than just a meal. And the pizza; I’ll be honest, I’m very specific when it comes to pizza, but this one delivered. Then, of course, the pastries. Delicate, balanced, and intentional. Even as someone who doesn’t lean toward sweets, I found myself fully present in each bite, appreciating the texture, the flavor, and the care. That’s what makes this place stand out. It’s not just about what you’re eating; it’s about how it makes you feel.

The Moment That Stayed With Me

What truly solidified ID-Eclair in my heart had nothing to do with the camera. It was a moment from last year. While volunteering with Chef Supreme at the VA, serving meals to veterans every Monday, one of the vets said something simple that stayed with me: “I just want some really good pastries.” At the time, it felt like such a small ask, but it meant something.

When I reached out, Chef Romy showed up in a way I’ll never forget. They donated a generous spread of fresh pastries and breads; a variety of desserts that were thoughtfully made and beautifully presented. It wasn’t just a small gesture; it was abundant. The response from the veterans was everything. They were excited, grateful, and genuinely happy. For many of them, it was the best bakery they had experienced.

That moment stayed with me because it reminded me that food, when made with intention, has the power to do more than nourish. It can connect, uplift, and create community.

More Than a Bakery

That’s why when I say ID-Eclair is one of my favorite spots, I mean that on every level. Not just for the food, but for the heart behind it. For the kindness, the intention, and the willingness to show up for people in a real way.

A Thank You That Matters

I just want to take a moment to thank Chef Romy for being so kind, so community-driven, and for showing up in a way that truly made a difference. From the moment we connected when you first opened, to the way you gave back to the veterans without hesitation, that’s something I will never forget. That wasn’t just generosity; that was impact. And moments like that stay with people. They stayed with me.

Until Next Time

Some places you visit once, and some places become part of your story. ID-Eclair will always be one of mine. Until next time.
