Lotus Vegan: A Happy Cow Gem in NoHo
Found through @happycow, Lotus Vegan in North Hollywood was one of those recommendations I had to check out — and it did not disappoint. This place is vegan, bold, and unapologetically flavorful. 🐮🌱
What I Tried + What It Gave
• Chicken Satay: smoky and juicy with a sweet coconut glaze and peanut sauce that carried every bite.
• Butterfly Pea Tea Lemonade: vibrant color, tangy, refreshing. It cooled everything down and made me sip slow.
• Lettuce Appetizer: tofu, garlic, shiitake mushrooms, and pine nuts wrapped in butter lettuce. Crisp and fresh, every bite had that crunch.
• Hot Wings: soy drumsticks, crispy on the outside, saucy on the inside. They brought the heat while keeping the flavor.
• Spicy Basil Noodles, Level 4: flat rice noodles with tomatoes, onions, red bell peppers, basil leaves, garlic, and fresh chili. I went with level 4 spice and they did not hold back — pure fire in the best way.
• Gluten-Free Chocolate Cake: rich, indulgent, and the perfect sweet finish.
