Sattdown Jamaican Grill: Vegan-Friendly Flavors in Studio City

When I say this spot has been on my list for a while, I mean it. Sattdown Jamaican Grill in Studio City is bringing the flavor, the vibe, and most importantly, vegan-friendly options that make you want to come back.

The Star of the Show

I had to start with the dish everyone talks about: the vegan oxtail. Tender, rich, and packed with flavor, it came with rice and peas, sweet fried plantains, and steamed veggies. It’s the kind of plate that makes you stop mid-bite just to take it in.

I paired it with their ginger pineapple: a cool, tangy sip that cuts right through all that richness and keeps the balance.

More Vegan-Friendly Options

Sattdown isn’t fully vegan, but the menu has plenty of love for us. Alongside the oxtail, you’ll find:

• Vegan Jerk Chik’n

• Vegan Jerk BBQ Chik’n

• Vegan Curry Chik’n

• Jerk or Curry Veggies

Each one comes with rice & peas, plantains, and veggies, so you’re getting that full Caribbean comfort every time.

Why It Works

What I love most is how the kitchen, led by Chef Tony, makes sure the vegan dishes stand up just as strong as the rest of the menu. It’s not an afterthought — it’s flavor with intention.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it. Pull up to Studio City, order a vegan plate, and of course — you’ll thank me later. ❤️💛💚
